主要从事教师教育、科学教育、教育领导与管理等领域的研究工作，研究成果发表在Nature、Education and Information Technologies、Thinking Skills and Creativity、Frontiers in psychology、Journal of Science Education and Technology、Journal of Baltic Science Education、Psychology in the Schools、《化学教育》、《教育科学研究》、《化学教学》等国内外知名学术期刊，累计发表各类论文80余篇；主编教材4部。先后主持国家自然基金项目（青年、面上）、中国科协、云南省-北京大学省校合作项目、北京市教育科学规划优先关注课题、北京市教委等多项研究课题，并入选北京市优秀人才、首都师范大学青年燕京学者培育计划等人才项目。兼任北京化学会副秘书长及青少年科普委员会副主任、Chinese Chemical Letters青年编委、《教育创新导刊》编委、北京建筑大学兼职导师、中国海水淡化与水资源再利用学会青年专家委员等职。
